Bhubaneswar: In a first of its kind in Odisha, a police personnel of the twin city Commissionerate Police has been tested positive for Coronavirus in Bhubaneswar. The information has been provided by the official twitter handle of the Commissionerate Police.
According to the information provided, on return from leave, the policeman was subjected to precautionary testing and was then found to be COVID19 positive.
The 36- years-old policeman was completely asymptomatic. He is being moved to a COVID Care facility. The tweet further added that he had come in contact with labourers/migrants from outside the state.
The Commissionerate also said that the doctors at the four Police Hospitals in the twin city are monitoring the health condition of all police personnel closely and following established protocols.
They have called upon everyone to work together and to defeat the virus.
