Bhubaneswar: MSME Trade Fair 2021 will be organized at the Exhibition Ground, Unit-III from March 5 to 9. The trade fair will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the evening of March 5th.
Keeping in view Covid-19 guidelines, no participant from foreign countries has been allowed to take part in this year’s MSME Trade Fair, said an official press release issued today.
Only State and Central PSUs and industrialists will be taking part in the MSME Trade Fair this year.
This year new start-ups, women entrepreneurs and Mission Shakti have been given priority.
Keeping in view contribution of Mission Shakti groups in the socio-economic development of the State, special emphasis is being laid to make its members successful entrepreneurs.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Mission Shakti and MSME departments.
Five hangars with 60 stalls each have been constructed for the trade fair. While out of these four hangars have been constructed for start-ups, food processing unit, Mission Shakti, PSUs, the other has been constructed for general entrepreneurs and other users. A platform has been constructed for exhibiting equipment and new technology.
Considering the promotional role of exhibition and trade fairs to expand the market for the MSME, MSME Department, Government of Odisha organized this five-day trade fair.
The exhibition would endeavour to bring all the potential buyers and sellers to a single platform in order to expand opportunities for mutually beneficial trade in products and technologies of the MSME sector.
