Jakarta : Indian shooter Heena Sidhu settled for a bronze in women’s 10mt Air Pistol final at the Jakabaring Shooting Range in the 18th Asian Games, here on Friday.
Sidhu was behind by just 0.1 from the lead when she shot a near-perfect 10.8 on the 21st shot with just three shooters left in the field. Her next shot was a 9.6 that left her with an overall score of 219.2 and gave her a bronze.
China’s Wang Qian swept away the gold with 240.3 and South Korea’s Kim Minjung with 237.6 of score points clinched the silver.
However, the 16-year old Manu Bhaker was eliminated at fifth place with a score of 176.2.
It was another medal for Sidhu in a major event, after winning gold and silver in the 25mt pistol and 10mt pistol at the 18th Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.
