A total of 77 nominations have been rejected in 70 Odisha Assembly constituencies going to polls in the first phase on April 10 during the process of scrutiny. While 793 nomination papers were filed in the constituencies, 716 nominations were found to be valid, said an official in chief electoral office (CEO) here today.
While no nomination was rejected in 26 assembly constituencies, Patnagarh constituency accounted for the highest number of rejection of nominations. Similalry, two nominations for the Berhampur Lok Sabha seats have been rejected, official sources said.
