78233 Persons in Odisha from COVID-19 affected states to undergo 14-day home quarantine

Bhubaneswar: A total of 78233 persons have come from other states to different districts of Odisha. As some of them are from coronavirus affected states, all of them have to remain under home quarantine, said Odisha’s COVID-19 Spokesman Subroto Bagchi.

Briefing the media at Geeta Govinda Sadan, Bagchi informed that 11,084 persons have come to Ganjam district while 6,442 persons to Balasore district. Besides, 4,448 and 4,306 persons have come to Kalahandi and Phulbani district, respectively.

“Keeping in view the health condition of the persons returning from outside, the Sarpanchas of GPs have been instructed earlier to motivate these people how to go for self-quarantine voluntarily for 14 days at their residence,” Bagchi said.

“Panchayat Samitis and District authorities have been instructed similarly,” he added.
