Badaghagara is one of the major Waterfall in Odisha. Badaghagara is located at a distance of 9 km from the district headquarters (Kendujhar) of Kendujhar district. Being a perennial source of water, a dam has constructed on the downstream side. It is situated at a distance of 3 kilometers on the downstream of Sanaghagara Waterfall. The Badaghagra waterfalls (about 60 metres) situated around 10 km from Keonjhar is amongst the most popular picnic sites in the region. It is located on the river Ghagra ( a tributary of Baitrani) and falls from a height of 60 meter. Badaghagra waterfall of Odisha is one of the central tourist attractions in the state of Odisha. The region around the Badaghagra waterfall is an ideal place for picnicking and trekking and is of the chief destination for Odisha Tourism. The hilly terrain surrounding the waterfall Badaghagra is covered with lush green vegetation.
The place apart from the waterfall is noted for the lofty peaks that are covered with dense forests. Situated at just about 5 km from these majestic waterfalls is another waterfall by the same river called Sana Ghagra. The twin destinations provide unmatched fun to nature lovers and trekkers alike.
