Official sources said, 50,000 more candidates will seat in the exam hall than the previous year.
As per the earlier decision, the question papers will be opened in presence of special representatives deployed by respective district administrations. Question papers will be sent to the exam centres between 7 am and 9 am. The exam will start at 10 am and will continue till 1pm. This year, the CHSE has decided to send the answer sheets to the evaluation centres by speed post only.
The question papers, which have already reached examination management hub, are being guarded by armed security forces round the clock. CCTV cameras were also installed at these centres to keep close watch on the papers. Notably, chief secretary GC Pati held a meeting with collectors and SPs via video conferencing. Pati asked the collectors that the representatives must reach the respective examination centres by 9 AM and supervise all arrangements.
If the collector’s representatives fail to arrive at the centres as scheduled, the centre superintendents would open the question paper packets. He also directed the collectors and SP to actively cooperate with the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) for the smooth conduct of the examinations. The SPs were asked to ensure tight security at the examination hubs and centres and provide adequate policemen at the time of despatch of question papers from the hubs to the centres and the answer papers from the centres to the hubs.
