Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday formally joined social media by opening a Twitter account. Though it is not yet officially conformed whether it is account of CM or not. ‘Jai Jagannath’ was his first message. Currently, the twitter account @Naveen_Odisha follows just eight accounts, while a large number of people have become his followers.
Patnaik follows Google India, Twitter, Twitter India, Biju Janata Dal, NDTV, President of India, Narendra Modi and PMO India. Patnaik’s bio-data on Twitter reads as “Chief Minister of Odisha since 2000; President, Biju Janata Dal”. While many politicians and parties getting active on Twitter, it would be interesting to see how Patnaik responds to people on the social networking site. It should be noted that some miscreants had opened fake Facebook accounts in Patnaik’s name on two occasions forcing the CMO to clarify that the Chief Minister had no Facebook account at that time.
