The Director of Sports Authority of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar has declared the sports calender/ time table/ programme schedule on Thursday (22/08/2013) for the season 2013-14. In this season totally 25 types of sports will be organized among various colleges. This sports programme will be started on 2nd September 2013 and end on January 2014. In this time period, different sports will be organized among the colleges affiliated to Utkal University.
According to the Sports Calender, Cricket Tournament will be organized from September 10th in 5 Zones named as:-
- SCS Mahavidyalaya, Puri
- KBDAV Mahavidyalaya, Nirakarpur
- SVM College, Jagatsinghpur
- U.N. College, Adaspur
- SSD College, Gurudijhatia
SSB Medical College is arranging the finale matches.
Full Schedule of Utkal University Sports Programme
- The Chess Tournament will be started from September 6th in MS Law College, Cuttack.
- The Football tournament will be started from September 6th in Kendrapara College, Kendrapara and Nachuni College.
- The Vollyball tournament will be started from September 14th in Nachuni College, Barunei College, Arei and Ranpur College.
- The Basketball (Male/ Female) and Badminton (Male/ Female) tournament will be started from September 27th to 30th in the premises of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
- Kabadi (Female) will be started on 30th September 2013 at IG College, Jajpur Road and RSD Womens College, Banki.
- The Hockey tournament (Male) will be started from October in Raghunath Jew College.
- The Softball tournament (Male) will be started from October in Physical Education Training College, Bhubaneswar.
- The Volleyball tournament (Female) and Kusti (Female) will be started from October in the premises of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
- Handball will be strated in November at GML College, Puri and MHD Field.
- Kho Kho (Male) will be started from November in KB College, Barang and Kho Kho (Female) will be started from November in K N Womens College, Bhubaneswar.
- Kabadi (Male) will be started in November at Chitalo College, Jajpur and Suraj Malla Saha College, Puri.
- Table Tennis will be started in November at SBM, Bhubaneswar.
- Boxing will be started in December at City College of Cuttack.
- Athletics will be started in December at UN College, Adaspur.
- Football (Women) will be started in December at the premises of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
- Netball (Female) will be started in December at Sailabala College, Cuttack.
- Netball (Male) will be started in December at Mathakoragala College.
- In 2014 January, Weight Lifting and Fitness tournament will be organized in the premises of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
Besides these, Central Inter University Kho Kho (Male and Female) Tournament will be organized by Utkal University in the month of November 2013.
